Andreea S. Micu
Andreea S. Micu (she/her) is the Assistant Director for Global Collaboration at the Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. In this role, she oversees initiatives that advance the Institute’s strategic international partnerships, including the Buffett Global Arts Initiative and Global Collaboration Grants, which provide seed funding for Northwestern faculty to cultivate research collaborations with global partners. She also supports the Institute’s international visiting scholars.
Andreea holds a PhD in Performance Studies from Northwestern University. Her scholarship and teaching have developed at the nexus of arts and culture, social movements, and urban space. Prior to joining the Roberta Buffett Institute, she was a Research Associate and Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Migration at the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard. She has also managed alternative career workshops for humanities doctoral students through the Humanities Without Walls Consortium and was a Public Humanities Fellow at the Chicago Humanities Festival, where she researched and developed arts and culture programming to engage diverse audiences.
