AIESEC-Northwestern
AIESEC is an international nonprofit organization that provides students with global leadership training experiences through connecting them with opportunities for international internships, volunteering abroad and more. AIESEC opportunities span over 100 countries.
GlobeMed at Northwestern
GlobeMed is focused on promoting sustainable international health partnerships and global health. Northwestern's chapter is partnered with the Adonai Child Development Centre in Namugoga, Uganda, which provides education, healthcare and a home for orphaned and vulnerable children. In addition to organizing quarterly fundraising campaigns, the chapter sends three to five students to the Adonai Centre each summer to participate in GlobeMed's Grassroots On-Site Work (GROW) Internship.
Global Engagement Summit
The Global Engagement Summit is a student-run annual social innovation conference that convenes young change-makers from around the world to collaborate, discuss and further their social ventures. The conference spans five days and is held on Northwestern's Evanston campus every April. The group's mission is to connect and empower students at Northwestern and around the world to begin to meet pressing social needs.
Northwestern University Community for Human Rights
The Northwestern University Community for Human Rights (NUCHR) is Northwestern University’s leading voice for global human rights on campus. Through informed dialogue, weekly discussions, winter seminars, an annual three-day conference, spring break international and educational trips and year-round programming, NUCHR bridges connections between undergraduates and international policies and discussion on current human rights issues.
The Rotaract Club of Northwestern University
The Rotaract Club of Northwestern University emphasizes a strong commitment to promoting world understanding and peace through the development of leadership among youth. Today, there are more than 7,500 Rotary International-supported Rotaract clubs with more than 175,000 members in 164 countries around the world. More than a community service club, Rotaract is part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world.The Northwestern Ukrainian Club hosts events open to the broader university community that highlight Ukrainian art, music, dance and food. The club aims to bring awareness to injustices inflicted on Ukrainians during Russia's invasion through traditional and social media.
Undergraduate Prison Education Partnership
The Undergraduate Prison Education Partnership (UPEP) cultivates collaboration between Evanston undergraduates and incarcerated students in the Northwestern Prison Education Program at the Stateville Correctional Center in Illinois through prison education initiatives. These initiatives include events, tutoring, workshops and classes at Stateville Correctional Center, awareness and advocacy campaigns in Evanston, supplies drives and fundraising events supporting prison education.
