The Buffett Institute offers students a variety of opportunities to deepen their understanding of people and places around the world. You can get involved in a faculty member’s international research project, go abroad and meet friends who share your interests. We are here to help you as you find your way around the world.

Discover Fulbright Opportunities

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers students and recent alumni the opportunity to research, study or teach English abroad and is open to students of all disciplines. Northwestern’s Fulbright Week, organized annually by the Buffett Institute for early April, offers students, faculty and staff opportunities to learn about Fulbright grants, make new connections and increase their chances of a successful application. Student Research Opportunity at the United Nations' Climate Change Conference

Through the Buffett Institute, Northwestern students were able to apply for the opportunity to attend the 2024 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meetings with the Northwestern University delegation as a virtual or in-person delegate.
