Northwestern Buffett Institute for Global Affairs

Opportunities for Graduate Students

The Buffett Institute is an intellectual community for graduate students who work on international and global topics. At our talks and seminars, you’ll meet colleagues in other departments and schools as well as learn about cutting-edge scholarship across the disciplines. We also offer a range of funding opportunities. Our aim is to help you build international, interdisciplinary networks that will support you during graduate school and beyond.

Grants and Fellowships

The Buffett Institute has launched a set of new graduate funding opportunities for doctoral students whose research focuses on the world outside the contiguous or continental United States. Applications are due on March 24, 2024. The Buffett Institute also organizes Northwestern's annual Fulbright Week.
