Elizabeth Cocke

elizabeth_cocke_170px.jpgElizabeth Cocke is an International Scholar Advisor for Northwestern Buffett’s Office of International Student & Scholar Services. In this role, Elizabeth communicates with academic departments, human resources personnel and governmental agencies to facilitate sponsorship for international scholars while ensuring institutional compliance with federal and state regulations. Previously, she served as an Assistant Director of Scholar Services for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Office of International Services, where she served as the point of contact for hiring managers in the College of Medicine and University of Illinois Hospital to facilitate and process sponsorship requests for medical residents, research scientists, professors and physicians. Elizabeth earned an MA in International Studies from American University and BA in Political Science and Spanish from Virginia Tech. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys Chicago’s restaurant scene, going to concerts and traveling.
