Chainey Gao
Chainey is the Coordinator of International Student Experience for the Buffett Institute's Office of International Student & Scholar Services. In this role, Chainey spearheads international community engagement, orchestrates collaborative programming initiatives and oversees orientation programs. Additionally, she provides invaluable advising on F and J visa compliance, facilitating international students' seamless integration into the Northwestern community. Previously, Chainey served as the Leadership Program Advisor for the Campus Housing Department at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). In this role, she orchestrated all facets of student organizations and transition programs, enriching the holistic experience of approximately 3,000 residents. Chainey holds an MEd in Urban Higher Education from UIC. Beyond her professional pursuits, Chainey finds joy in reading, immersing herself in music and discovering hidden gems among Chicago's eclectic array of cafes.
