Carmen Hernández

carmen-hernandez.jpgCarmen Hernández is a Student Services Program Administrator for Buffett's Global Learning Office. In this role, Carmen leads advising for students interested in study abroad opportunities in Spain, Portugal and the Americas. Additionally, she supervises GLO’s student workers, spearheads GLO’s Study Abroad 101 and the GLObal Co-Lab, a co-curricular program. She also assists with various study abroad initiatives to promote diversity, equity and inclusion as well as Latinx community initiatives. Previously, Carmen held the role of Financial Aid Coordinator at Northeastern Illinois University, where she provided guidance on financial literacy. Carmen earned her master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from Northwestern Illinois University. In her free time, Carmen enjoys jumping rope, traveling, hiking, photography and deepening her knowledge of wine.
