Northwestern Buffett Institute for Global Affairs

Buffett Faculty Reading Groups

The Buffett Institute seeks to support faculty collaboration and research on global topics.

For faculty who would like to gather with colleagues to discuss their own work or other readings, we provide a small amount of money to purchase refreshments. Depending on our schedule, space at the Buffett Institute may be available. Renewal of funding from one year to the next is dependent on budget availability and the continuation of the program.

Buffett Faculty Reading Group funding is available to all faculty on continuing appointments. Groups must include at least four faculty working on a global topic, and group members may include part-time faculty. A maximum of $1,000 per academic year will be made available.

Faculty may apply via our online form. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Please email Buffett’s Research Director Harrington Weihl with any questions.
