Leyla Neyzi is based in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabancı University. Her areas of interest include oral history, memory studies, European and Middle Eastern ethnography, nationalism and minorities, transnational youth, and social movements. This fall, she is teaching "Learning to Listen: An Introduction to Oral History" at Northwestern.

2016 Keyman conference on Kurdish politics

The Keyman program will host a conference on "Law and Politics in Turkey: Reform, Authority and Emergency," during which scholars will (re)conceptualize the relationship between law and politics, and trace the twisted path from reform to emergency at the country's historic juncture.
