War & Society Working Group
The Working Group on War & Society brings together an interdisciplinary community interested in the study of wars and its societal implications. We define “war” broadly to include international, transnational, and civil conflict with the aim of fostering discussion around questions of security, peace, and violence.
Meetings are primarily dedicated to encouraging and providing feedback to research in progress. The group also invites outside speakers to present and discuss their work.
[Update: From 2009 until 1 October 2016 we were known as the Security Studies Working Group]
